NEW JERSEY
Terrorist on The Turnpike
</hdr><body>
<p> According to federal prosecutors, the terrorist Japanese Red
Army has one less soldier on active duty these days. A federal
judge in Newark last week sentenced Yu Kikumura, 36, to 30 years
in prison for possession of three pipe bombs and a false
passport. A Japanese national, Kikumura was arrested last April
on the New Jersey Turnpike by a state trooper, who says he saw
the bombs in the back seat of his car. Prosecutors believe he
intended to plant them in the New York City area in retaliation
for the U.S. air raid on Libya. U.S. District Judge Alfred J.
Lechner Jr. said the bombs, packed with black powder and lead
shotgun pellets, "were intended for flesh and blood, not bricks
and mortar."
